The Business Support Specialist will work collaboratively across the business to efficiently setup new private label and converted products for production. The specialist will ensure the New Product setup complies with Corporate processes and has input into continuous improvement initiatives to enable efficient use of processes for related projects.

- Facilitate launch of new private label and converted products within Durable Goods Business Unit
- Serve as the single point of contact for information gathering to improve efficiency of setup of private label products
- Articulate a big picture process or goal to a diverse group of stakeholders in a way to garner productive input, support, and active participation
- Monitor SAP setup and associated workflows; route requests for approval and translate data into the various systems required for completion
- Engage in project management/stagegate process for private label products; maintain core team meetings and assist in preparation of gate documents
- Work with management team to prioritize NPI projects; maintain status list
Key Activities
- Review private label or converted product BOMs with initiators for consistency prior to submittal
- Shepherd item number data requests through system setup; maintain list of approvers for each function at relevant plants
- Engage with appropriate approvers to improve efficiency of New Product setup of private label and converted products
- Work with Product Line Managers, Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and directly with customers to review customer-specific labeling requirements; manage workflow for creating private labels
- Maintain documented workflows for private label sealants, private label tapes, imported purchased finished goods, and converted products.
- Assist in information gathering to aid customers in SDS and TDS generation
- Provide regular reports on status, current prioritization, and time to completion of requests
Accountabilities
- Support customers through private label setup of New Products
- Work in cross-functional teams (business, sales, supply chain, manufacturing, research & development, PLM, …) to advocate and execute the private label strategy related to adhesives, sealants, and converted products within the Durable Goods business unit
- Aptitude to connect and organize a variety of tasks into a detailed, efficient, and streamlined plan and then shepherd it to completion
Qualifications / Experience required
- Minimum of associates degree and 3+ years relevant experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external resources.
- Ability to manage details of multiple projects.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- Excellent computer and presentation skills; knowledge of MS Office/SharePoint
- Demonstrated success as both a team member and team leader.
