Job Description
Experience – 5-8 Years
Role and Responsibilities
DB Migration Developer PosgtgreSQL and 2019 database Design, Administration and DB migration experience.
- Experience in Oracle RDBMS10g/11g/12c/18c/19c.
- Installation and configuration of Postgresql, HA and failover clustering, Postgresql data replication using postgresql tool.
- Heterogeneous database migration oracle to postgresql using ora2pg and HVR.
- Good experience in cross database migration & best practices.
- Minimum 5 years of parallel experience in setting up and maintaining production Postgresql, oracle database.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL Database Performance Tuning.
- Good knowledge of SQL/SQL*Plus and understanding of PL/SQL, pgSQL and stored procedures/pkgs.
- Comfortable in setting up and managing all the backup and recovery strategies.
- Good experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of UNIX shell or Perl scripting.
- Strong knowledge and experience in IT methodologies and life cycles.
- Professional Qualifications in relevant technology sectors; Subject Matter Expertise in more than one key technology.
- Ability to demonstrate experience of working in a shared or leveraged service environment.
- Proven track record of dealing with complex issues/potential escalations without supervision.
- Familiar with operational processes/standard; standard build processes, technical handover and service acceptance documents.
- Strong understanding of the business and also the policies and regulations for the assigned customer.
- Background adhering to internal and external audit requirements.
- Aptitude in critical analysis and experience deploying critical analysis to delivery against milestones and deadlines.
- Ability to thoroughly investigate and resolve complex problems to a high technical standard.
- Ability to present technical information to a wide variety of users, key customers and senior management.
- Flexibility and mobility – the role could require work away from base location.
- Experience taking control and exercising leadership.
- Knowledge of other than postgresql, oracle is plus.
- Good knowledge on ITIL practices and ITSM tools.
- Minimum 2-3 big migration implementation leading and delivering.
- Good to have AWS ,DMS and SCT and other cloud provider cloud native migration technology and methods , Hands on experience is plus
