Work you'll do: The Director of Sales & Key Accounts is responsible for leading and directing the entire sales department, developing comprehensive sales strategies, and managing key account relationships. This role plays a pivotal role in achieving our business targets and fostering growth. Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, including sales professionals focused on Key Accounts.
  • Key Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, negotiate contracts, and manage sales agreements.
  • Sales Operations: Oversee day-to-day sales operations, including sales planning, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including Marketing and Product Development, to ensure cohesive business strategies.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage the sales budget and forecast.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reporting to the COO on sales performance and key account status.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of Sales experience in the CPG or related industry, with at least 2 years in a senior management role and pet industry experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing successful sales strategies and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with CRM systems.
