As an Expert Payroll / Consultant (SAP HCM) (f/m/d), you will play a key role in strengthening our local HR Information Systems team, helping especially in the area of technical payroll (in SAP HCM) in Mannheim, executing HR Information Systems activities within all relevant domains, as well as identifying, proposing and implementing relevant improvements in our existing payroll solution. In this role you will be part of a team applying broad HR Information Systems technology knowledge and expertise to aid local / global business needs and help solve difficult topics.

Your responsibilities

• Consulting of HR departments and optimization regarding the existing payroll system (SAP HCM).
• Responsibility for the technical aspects of the monthly payroll run / contact person in case of technical problems regarding the start, the execution of the operative payroll run as well as the ALE posting to accounting
• Contact person for domestic and foreign HR departments
• (Technical) realization / implementation of collective bargaining, legal as well as company-specific requirements in payroll accounting in SAP HCM
• Support in the implementation of year change activities in the area of payroll accounting from a technical point of view
• Independent maintenance of parameters, wage types, schemas & cycles, fictitious runs around the payroll run in SAP HCM
• (Technical) updates of the statement system
• Customizing and support of the tax and social insurance reporting system (maintenance and upkeep of existing applications) as well as customizing of new applications (new legal requirements or own applications)
• Analysis, set-up, further development, optimization and harmonization of accounting processes and functionalities
• Participation in defined project and special tasks; support during the introduction of Workday in Germany

Your background

• Successfully completed training / university studies with focus on Payroll / HR IT
• Extensive knowledge in consulting and application of SAP HCM
• You have good analytical skills, a keen eye for detail and demonstrate perseverance in implementing processes
• You are characterized by your independent working style as well as your structured work style and have a high demand on quality and diligence
• You have a fluent command of written and spoken German
