Job Description
The Exploration Geologist will work on seismic interpretation with the objective to produce a comprehensive Regional Basin Analysis. This Analysis will be generated by integrating 2D and 3D seismic interpretation, well data analysis and potential methods mapping.
This geologist should conduct G&G projects including the carrying out of seismic interpretation, petroleum system and prospect evaluations, structural understanding, risk assessments, to develop those into business opportunities for Earth Data (multiclients).
The geologist should build/deliver/present technical presentation material to Governments, partners, potential clients and at international conferences to support business development and marketing efforts.
Qualifications
Key Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate should present:
- Experience in Seismic Interpretation, use of GIS software for data compilation.
- Knowledge with Geological exploration platform is a plus.
- Knowledge is offshore Brazil basins (carbonate play and frontier basins), as well Lead/Prospect definition and evaluation (is a plus)
- Master/PhD degree in Geology (is a plus)
- Effective communication across multiple business lines and a variety of external stakeholders (partners, governments, clients)
- Participation in any Brazilian or International professional association for geologist or geophysics (is a plus)
What do you need to demonstrate during the application process?
- Ability to participated on presentations with external stakeholders (internal clients. partners, governments, clients)
- Analytical approach to problem solving.
- Good understanding of seismic imaging and geology
- Innovative mindset
- Fluent written and oral communications skills in English and Portuguese, Intermediary Spanish is a plus.
