ABOUT THE ROLE
As InPlanet Farmer Community Manager you will be the key person building a strong community of innovative and revolutionary farmers . You will be the one keeping close contact to the participants of our remineralization and carbon removal projects , coordinating the activities in the field under close collaboration with our science team. You are responsible for developing and implementing new protocols aimed at quantifying carbon removal and agronomic benefits of rock powder use (enhanced rock weathering) in different crop and management systems on the field level.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Your primary focus will revolve around sales, account management, and marketing initiatives. In this role, you will lead the charge in expanding our footprint across Brazil. Your mission will be to acquire new clients in the agricultural sector. Your responsibilities will encompass the acquisition of new farmers, and collaborating with InPlanet's legal team, COO, and Country Manager to facilitate their onboarding. By leveraging your charisma and dedication, you will engage with farmers, fostering robust relationships. In the year 2024, InPlanet aims to distribute up to 250,000 tons of remineralizer on approximately 25,000 hectares of farmland. Your role will be pivotal in winning over farmers for our projects and nurturing enduring connections. Your activities will also include representing InPlanet at events as well as developing activities with interested farmers where you need to answer their questions and stand your ground. You will also be responsible for co-creating and sharing exclusive materials with our farmers (webinars, papers, posters, etc), this way increasing the attractivity of our community. Furthermore you will participate in the process to create novel Business Models to attract farmers for remineralization and carbon removal activities in the long run, always with the goal to create a win-win situation for the involved farmers and mines. The role would be based in Piracicaba and require travel, in a first step in São Paulo state . Over the next few years, we intend to scale our activities to the whole country and extend our team to enable InPlanet to operate on a national level.
YOU CAN BE A ROCK-STAR IF YOU HAVE
Studies in Agronomy or related field
Prior knowledge about remineralizer s in tropical agriculture is a big plus
Prior expertise in setting up and accompanying agronomic trials on the field level
Technical experience with agronomic experiences and machinery is a plus
Strong knowledge about operations on field/farm level
Prior work experience (3+ years) in agriculture and farming
If you already worked with larger farmer communities and have contact to relevant farmer associations or cooperatives that is a big plus
Experience with sales and account management
Go-getter, hands-on , sociable and confident communicator
Strong communication skills in Portuguese, advanced English
High dedication, precision and love for detail
Intrinsic motivation for personal and professional improvement
Passion for sustainable, regenerative agriculture and climate change mitigation (e.g. carbon farming)
Positive, can-do mindset
Disposition to relocate to Piracicaba, SP, Brazil
