As a Global IT Software Engineer Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for development and technical support of BCG's global HR applications. You will be a part of the HR Product Portfolio and work with a team of internal and external developers, product owners, solution architects and scrum masters to deliver on the roadmap. You will be expected to be hands-on with latest development technologies, and bring innovative ways to execute faster delivery for global BCG users. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated development practices, and the creation of quality products are essential.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
- Design and implement user interfaces using React, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
- Utilize various UI frameworks to create responsive and adaptive designs.
- Design high-fidelity UI mockups and wireframes using tools like Figma or equivalent.
- Develop dynamic user interfaces using JavaScript and jQuery, ensuring seamless interactions.
- Integrate UI elements with server-side APIs to fetch and display data.
- Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and backend developers to deliver holistic solutions.
- Test and optimize UI elements for maximum speed, scalability, and efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in UI development.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- Education
- BTech/MCA with 5+ years of experience in the development of business applications in a commercial IT setting.
- Experience/Knowledge
- Develop and refine user interface components using React, ensuring high responsiveness and interactive visual elements.
- Experience working with Front End Architecture – Monolithic, Micro-Frontend.
- Experience with a State-management framework like Redux (with middlewares – Thunk/Saga) or MobX.
- Work closely with the UX/UI design team to transform visual and interaction designs into functional user interfaces, utilizing tools like Figma for design fidelity.
- Implement and customize UI frameworks such as Ant Design or Material Design to achieve coherent and aesthetically pleasing designs.
- Leverage charting libraries to visualize data effectively, creating interactive and dynamic charts and graphs that enhance user engagement and understanding.
- Apply responsive and adaptive design principles to ensure optimal viewing and interaction experiences across a broad range of devices and screen sizes.
- Write clean, efficient JavaScript and jQuery code, maintaining high standards of coding practices and contributing to our codebase's quality and scalability.
- Hands-on experience working with TDD in JS with the help of frameworks like Jest, React testing library, Jasmine, Mocha, Karma etc.
- Sound Knowledge on accessibility standards.
- Hands-on experience working with client-side templating languages like Handlebars, Mustache, etc.
- Seamlessly integrate UI components with APIs and backend services, facilitating effective data exchange and application functionality.
- Perform rigorous testing and debugging to ensure the delivery of high-quality, error-free code.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in web development and UI design to continually elevate our applications and user experience.
