Who will you work for?
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Legal to lead our legal team, specializing in the iGaming industry, based in Brazil. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape surrounding iGaming in Brazil and internationally. This role involves overseeing all legal aspects of the company, providing strategic legal guidance, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the legal department and manage a team of Legal professionals.
• Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of Legal issues related to iGaming, including regulatory compliance, intellectual property, data protection, and contractual matters.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to support the company's expansion and operations in Brazil and potentially in international markets.
• Negotiate, draft, and review a variety of contracts and agreements related to iGaming operations.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and government authorities, ensuring compliance with local and international iGaming laws and regulations.
• Stay abreast of Legal developments affecting the iGaming industry and advise management on potential impacts and strategies.
• Handle litigation matters, manage external counsel, and oversee dispute resolution processes.
• Provide training and guidance to the company on legal risk management and compliance matters.

What our client is looking for:

• Law degree from a recognized university.
• Strong experience (minimum 7 years) in the legal field, with specific experience in iGaming.
• Licensed to practice law in Brazil.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Excellent understanding of Brazilian and international iGaming regulations and compliance.
• Proven track record of managing legal teams and handling complex legal issues.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
