Based on Values: Agility, Inclusion and Responsibility the Industrial Quality Engineer will contribute with control of manufacturing activities to ensure a high quality level of products for customers.
Overview:
- She/He will be responsible of Quality Rules application on shop floor following: ISO 9001, ISO/TS 22163, Special Processes and APSYS requirements.
- Management of Industrial Quality performance (CONQ, Demerit, Defects Per Unit,…) to promote problem solving QRQC tool usage, Quality Animation, no quality issues reducing and continuous improvement mindset.
Specific responsibilities of the role:
PIQ manager profile – Process Industrial Quality manager (Master’s degree in engineering)
- Manage Industrial Quality activities in relevant workshop (IQ team + process + KPI).
- Stop the production in case of a defect which justifies mandatory rework.
- Participate or delegate customer joint Inspections.
- Participate to process FMEA definition.
- Build, implement & regularly update Quality Control Plans with REX of previous project execution.
- Ensure customer approval, documents validation & compliance of the manufactured products before shipping.
- Perform Line Quality Animation with cross function team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Competencies
- Bachelor Degree of Engineering is required
- Master degree in Quality or correlated certification is preferred
- Rail technical background of critical characteristics (adherence, crimping, tightening torque, electromechanical, electrical, material, mechanical...) is preferred.
- Experience in managing Quality tools and problem-solving tools.
- Experience in operational activities and documentation management.
- Knowledge in Quality standard (ISO 9001, ISO TS 22163 IRIS, APSYS)
- Awareness on processes ans products delivered in the project.
- Knowledge of Standard Quality KPI (Demerit, CONQ, Defects per Unit, OTD,…)
- APSYS score, Internal & External Audits results.
- Customer satisfaction mindset to promote quality acceptance criteria.
- Previous experience
- Desirable minimiun: 5 years of Industrial Quality activities in rail industries.
- Language skills
- Portuguese – Fluent.
- English – Advanced.
- Travel required
- Occasional according project needs / support of other Alstom site.
