**US Citizenship requirements- as this role supports services provided to the federal government and/or a federal government contractor, proof will be required to verify US citizenship status at time of hire.**
A brief overview of what the role will involve includes:
- Act as the primary security contact, collaborating with business leaders to balance risk/reward for improving security in applications and third-party engagements, developing a deep understanding of business processes, systems, technologies, data, stakeholders and third-party partners.
- Help establish security policies, procedures, and guidelines on various Information Security controls.
- Analyze source system data, existing data models, and profiling data to uncover additional security insights not inherently visible.
- Assess surface security risks and propose ideas, and recommendations to mitigate threats.
- Prepare dashboards and technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders in the planning, deployment, and execution of the security business plan.
- Act as a liaison to the business and IT groups and assist them in implementing data security, compliance requirements, and Information Security technologies.
- Partner with the enterprise architecture team to create, publish, and continuously improve the Information Security architecture for the enterprise.
- Identify regional Information Security issues and gaps with the enterprise Information Security policies, standards, and procedures among employees, contractors, alliances, and other third parties.
- Map regional legal and regulatory requirements and developments onto global policies/procedures and make suggestions where needed.
- Coordinate the execution of security governance and assessment control initiatives and Cybersecurity Awareness Programs and assist with implementation where needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of security experience working in a compliance function
- Technological expertise across major security disciplines and experience contextualizing technical information for an executive audience.
- Expert at creating purposeful metrics, KRI’s/KPI’s that convey risk messages and identify areas for improvement that are actionable by executive teams.
- Working Knowledge of Information Security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, FISMA, etc.
- Knowledge of global privacy laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Ability to articulate Information Security risk program to employees and third parties at all levels within and outside the organization.
