Job Summary: Accenture seeks an Intellectual Property attorney with at least 10 years of trademark and copyright experience to join our global IP team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and review trademark availability searches and clearance opinions;
- Conduct trademark and copyright due diligence for acquisitions and other transactions;
- Assist with the assignment of trademark and copyright applications and registrations in acquisitions;
- Collaborate with internal and external teams in the global enforcement of Accenture’s trademarks and domain names;
- Assist with counseling Marketing and other internal clients in trademark law, trademark usage, enforcement matters, and advertising campaigns;
- Lead investigations into potential trademark and copyright infringements and develop strategy for resolutions;
- Coordinate with outside counsel in dispute proceedings, including ICANN proceedings relating to domain name disputes as well as takedown procedures before various social media platforms;
- Provide subject matter expertise on copyright issues, including online copyright enforcement and risk mitigation strategies; and
Develops and implements IP processes, enterprise programs, templates, strategic initiatives, policies, best practices, and training designed to mitigate IP risks and maximize business outcomes
