As a Global Category Lead, you’ll be responsible for Establishing and driving HPS Global Category Procurement in alignment with HPS business leadership for Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Category as per Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office, 2 from home.

Key requirements
· Global Strategy Execution: Develop and execute global corporate strategies for sourcing and procurement of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), focusing on supplier rationalization, risk mitigation, and spend migration to preferred suppliers for Honeywell’s Project Business.
· Supplier Management: Lead the performance of suppliers for an E&I spend of $60-80M, build strategic partnerships, ensure compliance with Honeywell’s policies, and drive supplier audits and contract negotiations.
· Cost and Productivity: Support the achievement of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets through sourcing strategies that include consolidation, value engineering, and sole source elimination to ensure low total cost, quality improvement, and timely delivery.
· Strategic Initiatives: Actively participate in leadership meetings to drive strategic initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align and support category strategy creation and execution.
· Supply Chain Optimization: Leverage global spend to achieve savings, rationalize suppliers to the best-in-class, manage contracts effectively, optimize working capital, and secure supply to support business growth and demand.
Key skills and qualifications
· Educational & Professional Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 7 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing and procurement, particularly in Electrical & Instrumentation products.
· Contract & ERP Expertise: Proficiency in international contract management and ERP systems, specifically SAP, to handle the analytics aspect of procurement.
· Travel & Communication: Willingness to travel up to 25% for supplier and project site visits, coupled with strong communication skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving.
· Certifications & Skills: Relevant certifications such as CPSM/CIPS and a strong technical background in supply base management, acquisition planning, and contract administration.
· Global & Multitasking Ability: Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with a proactive approach, excellent decision-making skills, and the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
