Logistics Planner Analyst Iii

The Transportation Planning NAP team is a centralized team responsible for supporting North American Paper manufacturing facilities, 3rd party Converter facilities and 3rd party warehouses utilizing the SAP operating model. The Planner Logistics role has responsibility for creating shipment plans and managing pickup and delivery execution to ensure customer expectations are met. In this role, the planner ensuring constant logistical flow, aiming to optimize resources in obtaining the numbers previously established by the company, as well as maintaining control of logistical costs and actions on the main factors to reduce them.

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Lead/Participate in deliberate/continuous improvement projects and cost saving initiatives.

2. Travel to facilities work project opportunities and improve understanding of warehouse and shipping processes when travel policy permits.

3. Understand and follow policies, procedures, and best practices established for managing transportation planning.

4. Acquire understanding of end to end supply chain operating model processes.

5. On the mill side treat diversions, finding home for load in distress

6. Assess capacity coverage/surges helping cover surges/unc shipments

7. Exception Management as SCAC changes, route changes and external issues

8. Develop and train new hires in transactions, processes, and responsibilities through shadowing, on the job training, and keeping training materials up to date within the LMS tool.

9. Provide feedback on carrier performance to motor and rail carrier managers and returns process virtual and physical returns to fac

10. Analyze data from SAP, PPR, and BI to identify opportunities and track performance.

11. Be a back up for planners for vacation and sick day coverage and support for the team

12.Share information, update best practices about Carrier Performance, Capacity, Customer Updates, and contribute to the projects.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or related fields);
• SAP Transportation;
• Power BI and Office pack;
• High level english proficiency;
• Relevant work experience requered in Supply Chain and logistics areas.
