The Opportunity
This position works at Istanbul location in the Core Diagnostics Division that we’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.
Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.
What You’ll Do
Primary Objective of Position
Drive day-to-day marketing programs, product management and activities related to the IA (Immunoassay) franchise so that they meet the organization's short and long-term business objectives, comply with regulations and standards, and protect the organization's public reputation.
Major Accountabilities
- Strategic Planning/Messaging Development -strategically plan and tactically execute activities. Will participate in the development of the Area Marketing Strategy
- Activities may include: oversight of product development and design, pricing, launch new products, oversee advertising campaigns, and monitor sales performance.
- Co-develop content marketing strategy via customer testimonials, advertorials, and develops proof sources that demonstrate the value proposition of ADD.
- Develop and implement marketing plans for the organization’s products/services to meet established targets.
- Liaise with other Service/Commercial Excellence/ Sales managers/Training to ensure marketing activities are integrated with other parts of the business and align with the overall corporate objectives.
- Drives product expertise of the sales teams tailoring right training programs in collaboration with the Area Training organization and Global Marketing.
- Develops ways to ensure high Instrument utilization (Focus IT, Conversion to Assays,..)
- Develop and deploy marketing tactics to increase brand and product awareness internal and externally.
- Work collaboratively with Global Marketing to ensure alignment with the global strategy
- Prepare and organize internal and external communication activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in clinical science, BA, Engineering or related science required
- MBA of master’s in marketing or related fields is a plus
- Multiple years of work experience in product marketing and marketing management in healthcare, preferably in the invitro diagnostics or medical device setting.
- Social media marketing experience is a plus
- Preferably he/she understands all sections of the laboratory (pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical)
- Ability to gain and share knowledge regarding changing healthcare policies and therapeutic areas
- Experience in structured problem recognition, root cause analysis and creative problem solving a must
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High integrity handling sensitive customer information
- Ability to promote teamwork in a cross-functional teamwork setting
- Excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills
- English is a must. Another European language is a plus
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Ability to travel in Country and globally
