Role Purpose
- To manage Invoice to pay team operating from Brazil, ensuring smooth execution of Invoice to pay process area. To secure compliance with Syngenta’s internal policies and control framework.
- Line Management of 10-14 team members.
- To drive continuous review of processes and ways of working to optimize team efficiency, to identify & implement improvements to positively impact key performance indicators and client experience.
- Collaborate with Invoice to Pay Business partners to drive results and customer satisfaction.
Accountabilities
- Responsible for management of Brazil payment process with high quality and accuracy.
- Ensure segregation of duties among the different functions of the team.
- Manage Urgent & Exceptions Payments, AP GL Reconciliation Process, Travel & Expense Process, Service Desk AP, Audit, and Accounts Payable related Month End Close activities.
- Support transition project from BPO to internal Brazil service and conduct expert training, hyper care calls, Q&A sessions.
- Ensure access to banking systems, ERP and other systems needed by the team.
- Ensure the team applies strict adherence to global standard process and local business operations pack to deliver accurate and quality outputs.
- Working with the team to ensure that the SLAs and KPIs, are effectively delivering against Syngenta targets. Routine monitoring of actions, to verify if the expected results are being achieved and - if they aren't - come up with corrective measures in a timely fashion.
- Improve productivity across teams through the implementation of continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the finance function.
- Embed continuous improvement approach in the ways of working.
- Perform internal compliance control activities for processes and accounting procedures, according to Syngenta global model.
- Lead, participate and support projects related to the I2P function.
- Develop team members by P2T, initiatives, to improve capabilities for the next steps.
- Take ownership of internal and external audits.
- Participate in different global initiatives, having interactions with collaborators from different parts of the world.

Essential for this position:
- Accountant/Administration/Economics graduate.
- Broad professional experience in the Accounts Payable preferably in a global high volume processing environment.
- Experience in supervising and leading large teams involved in payments processing.
- Demonstrated the ability to build and maintain a high-performing team, through effective coaching and development.
- Expert on the Source to Pay end to end process.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Comfort working in a global business environment that is undergoing process and technology changes.
- Advanced oral and written English.
- Experience with SAP ERP.
Desirable qualifications:
- MBA degree.
- Experience in BPO market in the Chemical industry.
- Strong analytic skills and experience working with Brazilian Banking System, SAP ERP and Invoice Automation like VIM.
- Data Analytics: uses strong analytical skills and intuition to analyze data and interpret business insights and trends. Uses data to support decision making and develops the best solutions.
