We have embarked on an exciting journey of modernizing and transforming our US and Canada payroll functions, engaging a third-party consulting firm to uncover opportunities and develop a detailed roadmap. By rethinking structures, harmonizing processes, and automating key tasks with new technologies, we intend to create a simpler and more efficient operating model encouraging collaboration and flexibility for the payroll function to meet the evolving and growing needs of BCG.
This role will be actively involved in leading and managing the payroll transformation initiative, partnering closely and under the supervision of our Payroll Leadership Team and other Finance Leaders across North America. This individual will analyze BCG policies and processes to enable the adoption of available efficiencies and improvements to align with BCG, regulatory requirements and payroll industry best practices. They will provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.

YOU'RE GOOD AT


  • Plan, steer, organize and coordinate transformation process-related activities and workstreams
  • Strong project management skills; must be able to manage multiple complex projects at the same time
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues across the organization (HR, technology etc.), desire to be flexible and think strategically
  • Deep understanding of full cycle payroll operations– input prior to payroll acceptance and output post-payroll acceptance – while maintaining separation of duties for compliance and audit controls
  • Be well versed in policies and practices related to multi-state payroll reporting and taxation:
  • Manage day to day escalations and act as business partner to resolve issues requiring additional assistance for resolution
  • Openness to new and innovative ideas and adaptability to transformation
  • High integrity, a positive can-do attitude, and an ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
  • Working independently—You are self-motivated and take initiative.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned or required

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)


Qualifications
  • Associates degree in a business related field or equivalent experience; Bachelor's Degree is preferred

  • 5+ years Payroll experience ideal

  • Experience with 3rd party payroll service (ADP, Ceridian etc.) including report writing tools

  • Experience in system/operational transformations

Key Competencies:
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Working knowledge of automation capabilities (Alteryx, Power BI, UI Path etc)

  • Working knowledge and experience with international mobility rules, requirements and regulations

  • Working knowledge and experience with multi-state payroll taxation rules and regulations

  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner

  • Excellent customer service orientation with creative and resourceful problem solving skills – “can do” attitude

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

  • Self starter, highly motivated and innovative

Work environment:
  • Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment and to interpret rules and guidelines flexibly to enhance the business and in keeping with BCG’s values and culture

  • Experience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organization is essential

  • It is necessary to have the ability to understand and manage complex reporting relationships and incorporate multiple cultures
    Candidates may be considered for this position at the Payroll Analyst or Senior Payroll Analyst levels depending on skills and experience.

Members of our finance team are responsible for preserving the intellectual capital, assets, and integrity of BCG. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


Format Information:

This role currently requires 3 days a week in office presence. This provides flexibility the remaining 40% of the work week. This hybrid work plan allows for critically important learning, collaboration, and networking with our colleagues. Specific days in the office are agreed upon by the team.


Compensation Information:
Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG’s Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.
