Key Objectives
- Provide leadership, management, direction and oversight to the People Services organization across the LATAM region.
- Ensure timely and end-to-end process delivery in line with agreed metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and work towards continuously improving the processes and efficiencies
- Embed and monitor key controls and governance structure to ensure all process related and employee related information is handled in accordance with country, regional and company guidelines
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with the HR community (global and regional global HR organization) and partner with them in the delivery and improvement of HR services;
Long Description
Global responsibilities:
Ensures the successful transitioning & setup of centrally run local services
- Manages execution of these services
- Provides regular and frequent reports and Power BI dashboards on targets and achievements;
Regional responsibilities:
- translating and deploying the Global Business Services and People Services Strategy as per HR/GBS operating model;
- designing the management and performance standards for People Services operations;
- driving process improvement, technology harmonization and standardization;
- driving process adherence & KPI management with country teams;
- managing escalations and thereby stakeholder and customer expectations;
- partnering with Finance, Compliance, Legal and other key functions for effective delivery of services;
- Partners with LATAM HR Leadership team as member of HR council on governance matters including labour laws, statutory compliances and key policy decisions
- Supervises management of employee benefit trusts including benefits for pensioners
- Ensures effective delivery of payroll, tax and regulatory compliance and accounting of salary cost
- Plays a key role with Rewards on finalization of employee insurance benefits, annual compensation process and other related matters
- Support the company integration project (focused specially in Payroll)
Requirements
- Bachelor/Master degree, (or equivalent) ideally in Management, Business Administration, Psychology or HR
- Solid HR experience, with a relevant (HR) service center and multi-country payroll working experience
- Proven leadership role experience
- Ability to work on a strategic and tactical level
- Solid knowledge and experience with HR processes are required
- Excellent English written and verbal communications skills and solid Spanish
- Results driven, detail oriented, deliver on commitments, project management, customer orientation, stakeholder management in matrix environment
- Leads from a core set of personal values and sense of purpose in line with the AkzoNobel values
- Aspires to a culture of service/operational excellence to the customer, data driven
- Excellent problem analysis judgment and problem-solving skill
