Project & Calculation Engineer

This role is for a mechanical component engineer, responsible to perform design of substation equipment, involving mechanical simulations, manufacturing documents and support to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Perform designs for substation equipment through critical analysis of technical specifications;
• Design and customize products from the equipment portfolio in order to meet customer and market requirements and working to clarify the particularities of the project and responding to questions and doubts inherent to this process, customer support, PM and Factory;
• Prepare (mechanical) design drawings and assembly details using drawing software (PTC CREO and Autodesk AutoCAD);
• Perform mechanical design of structures using Finite Element Simulations;
• Prepare mechanical calculation reports (structural, seismic, etc) using results of Finite Element simulations, FEM;
• Prepare, create and maintain manufacturing letters, bill of materials, drawings, technical documents, instruction manuals, etc, in order to faithfully represent the project approved by the client in the engineering processes;
• Provide training to customers according to the scope of supply associated with a given project.

Requirements​

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• 2 years of experience in the área;
• Advanced English;
• Advanced Portuguese;
• Previous knowledge/ experience in usage of FEM tools for structural analysis;
• Knowledge of MS Office software;
• Experience working cooperatively and effectively in a team environmen;

Desired Qualifications

• PTC CREO – Software of 3D modeling;
• ANSYS – Engineering Simulation Software;
• Autodesk AutoCAD;
