About the Team - The English Language Learning Human Resources Team is a centralised strategic function of the English Language Learning (ELL) business that operates with the functional leadership teams and key decision-makers to provide support for a collection of programmes, projects, and key initiatives to achieve ELL's strategic objectives.
About the Role:
The Project Manager will have accountability for the delivery of projects driven by the ELL HR Team, focusing on governance, reporting and facilitating the end-to-end delivery to time, budget and as per the specification and defined scope of the projects. The Project Manager may be responsible either for multiple projects or for one larger project within a program, which often requires multiple resources and functional integration. The Project Manager will anticipate opportunities and issues proactively as well as manage scope using project management applications and tools.
Responsibilities:
General:
Responsible for overall project management through the life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close).
Promote and implement the ELL AI Upskilling project & programme governance framework.
Create and manage project schedules and communicate schedule deadlines to relevant groups.
Manage requirements and documentation required to effectively manage project or program deliverables as assigned.
Identify and track project risks and work with project stakeholders on risk mitigation plans.
Execute the tasks as defined in the project plan and schedule in order to meet project deliverables.
Prepare and present internal and external reports on projects status, risks, and other program-related issues.
Apply standardised project and programme management methodology
Identify, develop and maintain relationships with key internal & external stakeholders.
Lead Internal & External Meetings, including status meetings, planning meetings, and lessons learned meetings.
Capture project action items, assign owners and manage to closure.
Mentor other Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives with delivery teams.
Assist/support programs beyond primary assignment.
Role-specific attributes
English Fluency (Speaking, Reading, Writing)
Bachelor’s Degree desired or commensurate experience.
Prince2, PMP, MSP, P30 Practitioner or equivalent preferred
Project Management experience & knowledge of project and program management methodologies and techniques
Ability to manage more than one project across multiple geographical regions, functional business units and external delivery partners is key
Ability to make decisions based upon limited information.
Excellent written, communication, influencing & highlight reporting skills in English
Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and decision-making skills
Team player with a great ‘can do’ attitude
Financial and commercial awareness
Minimum of 2 years project management experience
