The Role: Develop and implement sales and marketing initiatives to maximise the potential market for the skills and resources of the Company, and its associates in all market segments, related industries throughout the territory. The suitable candidate will have a strong background in Industrial/ Technical sales. Key Elements: Responsibility for maximizing sales and delivering the agreed target for the region by interacting with customers to close sales, generate new business opportunities, answer questions, and build confidence in the products and the Company. Identification, execution, and generation of new business opportunities through direct sales calls. Using the company CRM to record all sales-related work. Establish and develop a network of business partners in the OEM, Engineering, Insurance and Consulting companies to promote products. Preparing and giving technical presentations to customers for all products. Prepare annual sales forecasts for approval by Management. Identify and recruit suitable sales representatives (Agents, licensees, Subcontractors etc) where necessary for the Company throughout the assigned territory, assist in their technical and sales training both on-the-job and by visits to plants, training schools, conferences etc. and continuously evaluating their performance, responsiveness, and effectiveness, recommending improvements wherever they are deemed to be necessary. In the event that the Company are successful in securing Contracts for their Services in the assigned territory, the Sales Engineer will coordinate to best advantage the relationship between operations personnel and their customers, vendors, sub-contractors and Agents to ensure trouble-free completion of all contractual obligations. Ensures the achievement of commercially advantageous terms throughout all business transactions. Actively participate in the marketing of services in Portuguese and English languages. Assist in the preparation of proposal drawings, technical specifications and operating instructions, advertising and technical sales aids and bulletins, electronic media and participate in regional trade shows, sales meetings, plant and/or site visits, and other public relations activities. Investigate complaints, recommend solutions in each case, and ensure that they are implemented expeditiously. Continuously monitors and reports on the activities of competitors in the territory. Contribute ideas and enthusiasm to the sales program while following worldwide policies. Qualifications/Experience: Mechanical / Electromechanical / Chemical / Materials Engineering degree or similar 5+ year’s industrial sales experience, particularly in Oil & Gas exploration and production, hydrocarbon processing, petrochemical, chemical, food, paper and pulp and mining markets. Self-starting, proactive with strong commercial contractual judgment, and a practical approach to troubleshooting. Ability to achieve objectives with minimal supervision. Experience working with Industry Codes & Standards Strong organisational ability and detail oriented Fluency in Portuguese and English is essential. Flexibility to undertake extensive regional travel.
