About the Position
The Senior Finance Lead will be responsible for managing our financial operations in Brazil, focusing on compliance, efficiency, and alignment with our global financial strategy. This includes overseeing outsourced functions such as payroll, accounting, tax, and billing, and providing FP&A support. The successful candidate will have a robust understanding of Brazilian financial regulations, exceptional communication abilities to liaise with the US-based parent company, and the skills to coordinate closely with legal and HR teams to support our operations and growth strategies.
Key responsibilities- Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to drive informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as Legal and HR) to optimize revenue streams, pricing strategies, and cost efficiencies.
- Financial Reporting, Compliance and Stakeholder Management
- Manage and oversee outsourced financial operations in Brazil, ensuring compliance with local regulations and alignment with US GAAP.
- Act as the primary finance contact for the Brazilian operations with the parent company in the US, ensuring clear and effective communication of financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across different business units, departments, fostering collaboration and communication.
- Performance Marketing Financial Analysis
- Together with the Brazilian marketing team, analyze the financial impact of performance marketing campaigns.
- Evaluate Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV), and other key metrics to optimize marketing spend and maximize ROI.
- Provide financial guidance on marketing strategies, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.
- Continuous Improvement and Process Optimization:
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and support the company's strategic objectives.
- Lead and mentor the local finance team, promoting a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (CPA/CFA) highly preferred.
- At least 10 years of finance experience, preferably within the SaaS industry or technology sector.
- Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
- In-depth knowledge of Brazilian financial regulations, US GAAP, and the ability to manage financial operations across different cultures and regulatory environments.
- Strong track record of effective communication with senior management and cross-functional teams, including legal and HR.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English, with outstanding communication.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
