Our clients are investment banks and consulting firms in Brazil and abroad. As part of our growth efforts in São Paulo, we are looking for an incredible Research Associate to work closely with our current team and be in contact with our valuable experts daily.

As a Senior Research Associate, you will be directly responsible for revenue generation - leading the entire project lifecycle from understanding client needs, identifying and sourcing experts in order to facilitate time-sensitive engagements between leading institutional clients and industry experts. This requires a foundational understanding of business, proactiveness towards recruiting new experts, lead identification, sourcing/conversion, and building trusted relationships with experts. You will also be called on to help coordinate projects in which you are not directly involved, with a consultative role, as well as raise, analyze and interpret market information relevant to Trust Insight’s activities. This function will be instrumental in enabling clients to make better-informed business decisions.

The Research Associate will:

  • Perform research on a wide range of industries.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of their project needs and objectives to pinpoint the most relevant subject matter experts for each request.
  • Recruit these experts to consult while ensuring high quality and relevance throughout the process.
  • Conduct in-depth and informed conversations with experts, assess their expertise and suitability for projects by learning about their professional background while keeping the clients' requirements in mind.
  • Work closely with your team, using informed judgment to match the best-suited experts to each client request and make recommendations to clients as a team.
  • Quickly fulfill research requests/sense or urgency.
  • Actively reach out and source/recruit new and qualified experts to our database.
  • Develop and improve sourcing processes.
  • Collaborate with the company’s accelerated growth.
  • Research topics and subjects relevant to project activities and current market events;. 
  • Coordinate projects with junior and mid-level Research Associates to ensure success in their research endeavors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Specialization, MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish for business purposes.
  • 3+ years of experience in market research, operational research, equity research, and/or economic analysis.
  • Experience in conducting market research interviews (surveys, interviews, observational studies, and focus groups) is a plus;
  • Knowledge in project management techniques;
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, dashboards);
  • Familiarity with economic and financial topics, monitoring market events, and news portals (general knowledge);
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Ability to explore all facets of a given topic by linking it to current projects through thorough background research, delivering highly relevant profiles, and implementing process innovations when applicable.
  • Project ownership, a sense of responsibility for the course of the project or task at hand, with the ability to provide frequent, clear reports in a schematic manner, often featuring relevant statistics about reachout activity, such as responsiveness rates.
  • Capability to organize projects assigned to them while assisting in the efficient allocation of resources in projects where they collaborate with junior colleagues.
  • Business acumen and research ability to consistently share market information.
