Your role and responsibilities

As a Service Engineer for Electrification business, you will be responsible for ensuring the service portfolio is delivered effectively according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Electrical Service. Reporting to Service Manager, you will be executing technical support and acting as specialist in own area of expertise. This position is based in Samut Prakan, Thailand. - Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points. - Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products. - Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities. - Troubleshooting equipment/process failures, requesting proactive corrective actions, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future. - Providing technical specialist support and coordination for the service team. Planning activities, coordinating the work of internal and external technicians and assigns them specific tasks related to service needs.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Experience in low voltage or medium voltage switchgear.
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
