Description

The MedTech Supply Chain Quality Excellence Continuous Improvement Leader (Make & Source) oversees the development and implementation of strategies to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and quality throughout Supply Chain Quality. He or She is responsible for leading process improvement initiatives, aligning resources and goals, and driving a culture of Continuous Improvement. The incumbent will own the improvement roadmap and identify time-based improvement strategies to deliver roadmap milestones.He or She will lead a team of Engineers and be responsible for effectively deploying team resources to deliver maximum value.They will be accountable for achieving target outcomes including chartering, metric identification, resource analysis, detailed schedule/milestone identification, and mitigation of risks. They will drive process standardization by coaching global and local teams and accelerate the adoption of new practices and skills to help sustain improvements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Leads the identification, evaluation, and implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

· Developing and implementing strategies and initiatives to enhance the quality of manufacturing processes within the supply chain.

· Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Supply Chain Quality, Engineering, and Compliance to establish improvement plans delivering the highest value.

· Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure the effectiveness of performance improvement initiatives

· Implementing lean manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies to optimize internal processes and drive efficiency.

· Providing guidance and support to improvement teams in implementing quality improvement initiatives and best practices.

· Leading and facilitating problem-solving activities, workshops, Kaizen events, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation, to address quality issues in manufacturing processes.

· Collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to quality improvement across the supply chain.

· Provide leadership and guidance on change management activities, ensuring successful adoption and integration of process improvements.

· Developing and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members involved in manufacturing processes.

· Monitoring industry trends and best practices related to manufacturing quality and integrating them into the improvement strategies.

· Support budget cycle (LRFP, JU, BP, NU) to accommodate business needs

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant scientific/technical field and 8 years proven experience, or an advanced degree in Engineering or relevant scientific/technical field and 4 years proven experience

• Experience with validation or stop shipment processes in the regulated healthcare industry

• Demonstrated experience in process improvement initiatives with cross-functional, diverse, global teams using PEx Methodology

• Experience with developing innovative approaches to Quality challenges in a fast-paced, changing global environment

• Demonstrated experience in effective project management

• Strong communication and change management skills

• Ability to zoom-in and zoom-out for strategic and tactical activities

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS

• Proficient technical writing skills

• Certified PEx Master Black Belt or Black Belt with significant project experience

• Able to manage complex strategic programs with multiple stakeholders

• Able to provide outcome-based/value-driven focus to the organization

• Strong negotiation, communication, and change management skills

• Proven success in influencing highly successful teams

• Capable of building strong partnerships across segments & regions, acting as the mediator between organizations while optimizing the value proposition

• Strong relationship development, conflict resolution, and team building instincts, with the ability to build partnerships both internally and externally

• Makes the customer central to all thinking

• Ability to coach talent on Quality Engineering principles and practices

• Fluent verbal and written English communication skills; other language skills advantageous

LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

• 30-40% travel with regional reach

The base pay range for this position is $97,000 - $166,750.
