Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining Teza’s systems and storage infrastructure. The System engineer will work closely with the development and trading operations teams to ensure the smooth functioning of all systems and applications. The role provides a dynamic environment where one can directly contribute to the Infrastructure and have an impact.About Teza

Location
Yerevan, AM (Hybrid mode with 3 days in-office requirement)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Teza’s server Linux and storage infrastructure
• Automate manual operational processes
• Collaborate with the development and trading operations teams to ensure the smooth functioning of all systems and applications
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve any issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including hardware and software problems
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization’s data and systems
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures
• Participate in on-call support rotation to address critical issues and incidents promptly and effectively
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in systems infrastructure operations or related field
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash

Nice To Have Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of storage platforms and filesystems
• Extensive automation experience with tools such as Ansible or Salt
• Experience with virtualization platforms, preferably VMWare
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
