Teaming@BCG is a global priority initiative sponsored by BCG’s Executive Committee with the goal of providing growth and sustainability for our staff and ensuring that we can recruit and retain the most ambitious and diverse group of individuals. Over the last years, we have developed a fit-for-purpose Teaming@BCG offering for our Business Services Team that includes methods, tools, practices, behaviors, and team coaching. Using different types of team engagements, this offering has proven to increase team effectiveness and sustainability.
This role as a Team Performance Coach (limited to one year) will apply the Teaming@BCG offering to our internal functional teams (HR, Marketing, Finance, etc.). Your key responsibility will be to support selected teams through coaching, facilitation, training, and best-practice sharing. This support will include setting up new teams as much as accelerating the growth of existing teams. You will coach both individuals and teams, facilitate trainings, and support adoption of new practices and tools, including digital ones.
A Performance Team Coach will work across three areas:
Team coaching—coaching functional teams and accelerating the adoption of new practices, with an emphasis on enabling effective leadership and high-performing teaming (70%)
Leading the implementation of the Teaming@BCG offering in Central Europe (20%)
Innovating the global Teaming@BCG content and offering (10%)
YOU'RE GOOD AT
You’re an objective listener with strong communication skills and display senior presence.
You employ a flexible approach to coaching teams and individuals from different backgrounds and with different skill sets.
You have strong project management skills and excel as a team player with a high degree of initiative and drive.
You thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, and client-oriented environment where you can innovate and experiment.
You are self-motivated and resourceful to find and deliver the best outcome.
You are collaborative and enjoy developing joint solutions with an iterative mindset.
You are able to build a network, influence, and effectively persuade, working with multiple stakeholders across the organization to enable change.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
You have a passion for people development and for making people thrive in a fast-paced environment.
You’ve gained significant coaching experience (certifications are required).
You have a minimum of five years of professional experience with growing levels of responsibility.
You are highly proficient in key collaborations tools used at BCG (Slack, Trello, Miro, SharePoint, OneNote, Zoom).
A consulting background with at least two to three years as team leader, agile proficiency, or team coaching experience is a plus.
Your written and spoken English is excellent; German language skills are a plus.
YOU'LL WORK WITH
As part of the Teaming Team in Central Europe, you will work autonomously but will be integrated in our growing team of Central Europe coaches. You will work directly with the HR Leadership Team, as well as large functional teams conducting BCG’s internal operations. Our collaboration as a team is characterized by mutual support, a lively exchange of experience, strong trust, and a good dose of humor. Integrity is our highest priority. You will report to the responsible CE Teaming@BCG Director, who will be there for you during your orientation phase and support you in your professional development.
