Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is currently building a new team to provide business critical support and sustaining activities, working with cross-functional teams, and helping drive new initiatives and projects for Beckman’s manufacturing and supply chain digital transformation initiative.
 

As a Technical Project Leader, you will be responsible for driving the success of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) program deployment within several Beckman Operations sites in France, India, and China. Once the first plant is deployed, you will make sure MES issues are resolved, gather functional and technical requirements from team members and end users, and be able to make sound judgments on issues related to MES.

This position is part of the Beckman Coulter Life Science team in Danaher Development Center located in Bangalore, India.
 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead implementation of business workflows for AVEVA MES implementation in Life Science Operations on manufacturing plants globally.
  • Collaborates with Business Analyst to come up with work breakdown of design and implementation activities and associated estimates; allocates appropriate resources and comes up with project plan for incremental implementation and release of user stories and software interfaces.
  • Responsible for translating use cases and requirements into architecture, design, and implementation changes.
  • Lead team of application developers to follow Agile/Scrum methodology to design, implement, and test the workflows such that they can be deployed incrementally to end users.
  • Defines methodology for design implementation and testing by adopting relevant industry best practices.
  • Work with a global cross-functional team to ensure relevant interfaces to different IT systems is available and when changes are made, their integrity is maintained.
  • Coach and mentor team members in enhancing their technical competency on AVEVA functionality.
  • Keep abreast of AVEVA products/tech. roadmap to understand impacts and plan for upgrades.
  • Learn and work with Danaher Business Systems methodologies for continuous process improvement; proactively suggesting solutions to business users.

The required qualifications for the job include:

  • 10+ years of overall IT applications implementation experience with at least 8 years in the MES domain
  • 5+ years of hands-on design and implementation experience in AVEVA modules
  •  Strong knowledge of AVEVA MES (formerly Wonderware MES) and Work Tasks (Workflow Management formerly Skelta BPM) . Forecasted modules used are System platform, Skelta WF, Skelta Portal, Reporting services, Alpana and Operation
  • Should have implemented MES, Manufacturing IT, related products in Life Science, Medical segment or any other domain.
  • Should have good presentation and communication skills.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • 2-3 years experience in direct supervision of a team of 4-5 engineers inclusive of hiring, onboarding, setting performance objectives, performance evaluation, coming up with training plan, on-the-job mentoring
  • FDA Validation experience with CFR 21 Part 11 , Annex 11, GAMP5, and regulations and guidelines pertinent to Data Integrity.
  • Knowledge and experience with Good Documentation Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Experience in Medical Device manufacturing
  • Experience with Danaher Business Systems principles.
