Service codebases rely on a large suite of automated tests to help find defects early in the life cycle. Software development teams have true ownership of the services as they build, release, and operate.
What you will be doing:
FIS provides a leading in-house payment management platform (SaaS - Software as a Service) that serves high-volume merchants such as Netflix, Overstock.com, GoDaddy, and many more. As a QA Engineer, your skills will be at the core of changing the way the world pays, banks, and invests. You’ll plan and manage application development and client delivery activities that range from small, simple software testing to components of large, complex software applications.
About the role:
FIS are on an exciting journey re-engineering our core payments platform to be more cost effective, scalable and cloud ready utilizing the latest cutting-edge technologies. This journey will require the very best engineering talent to get us there as it’s not just a technical change, it’s a cultural change as well.As a Software Test Analyst, you’ll play a key role in the development of fintech products that are changing the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve consulting on software development or operations processes, quality practices, quality audits and software measurements.
What you will be doing:
You should be capable of leading by example across all functions of the team including agile process adoption and implementing industry best practices. Reporting to the QA Manager you will work as part of the Billing and Funding team and will be responsible for developing and maintaining BDD test scenarios as well as the test automation framework, including:Analysis of business requirements and reflecting them in automated test scenarios
Converting existing manual test cases into automated tests
Supporting and maintaining the test automation framework with respect to existing functionality, new features and bug fixes
What you bring:
Experience of leading change and establishing engineering best practice in technical teams
Demonstrated accountability for a production service having contributed to that service build.
Knowledgeable on Microservice Architecture
Hands-on software development and testing experience with in-depth knowledge of automation techniques
Proven experience in developing automated test scenarios in Java environment with Cucumber and Selenium (optional)
Knowledge of BDD / TDD practices and experience with these approaches in the past
Strong understanding of Continuous Delivery concepts
Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL)
Demonstrated accountability for quality of a production service having contributed to that service build.
Leading change in technical teams
Great communication skills (written and verbal)
Reviewing the work of other Test Automation Engineers
Proactively identify improvements and enhancements to working practices
Performing usability testing and communicating activities and findings.
• Controlling and managing daily test activities.
• Providing internal quality assurance.
