Maxar Space Systems is currently seeking a Total Rewards Partner to join our team.

In this role, which is based remotely in the US, you will partner extensively with HR Business Partners and business leaders throughout the organization. You will have the opportunity to drive compensation strategies that align with the Maxar vision while unlocking your leadership potential.

What you'll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):

  • Provide guidance and recommendations to HR Business Partners and business leaders to ensure consistent application of compensation guidelines and practices.

  • Oversee the annual planning, execution, and review of merit and bonus programs, including configuration of compensation module in Workday through end process reporting.

  • Determine competitive pay position; develop recommendations for annual structure and budget adjustments to maintain internal and external equity in pay plans.

  • Perform quality checks of benefits-related data to ensure accuracy of benefit enrollments.

  • Responsible for resolving employee questions and issues through interpretation of policies and procedures and a ct as the escalation point regarding employee benefit claim issues and plan changes

  • Adept at using analytical data and information to build a compelling narrative to influence decision makers.

  • Seamlessly transition between strategic thinking and tactical execution.

  • Collaborat e with Talent Acquisition for a streamlined partnership, ensuring fair and consistent reviews of job offers.

  • Support the company’s total reward s programs and deliver engaging and impactful education to better understand our reward philosophy and programs.

Minimum requirements for this position:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, finance, mathematics, economics, accounting, or a related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant compensation experience in a diverse business environment

  • Experience with CA laws and requirements

  • Working knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and other state/local labor laws

  • Advanced Excel and data analysis techniques; mid-level knowledge of other Office suite applications

These skills would be amazing:

  • Working knowledge of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and advanced compensation modules

  • Experience with designing and administering compensation and incentive plans, including maintenance of compensation related HRIS software

  • Ability to be extremely detail oriented, while also aligning with the big picture in an extremely fast paced environment

  • Strong analytical, project management and strategic thinking skills

  • Demonstrated ability for change management and communication across diverse stakeholder groups

  • Comprehensive understanding of U.S. employment and labor laws as they relate to compensation and benefits, including, FLSA, Wage & Hour, FMLA, ADA as well as hands-on experience with HRIS or payroll software.

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$105,000.00 - $175,000.00 annually.Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
