Job Description
As a Business Control Analyst, you will be a trusted advisor, responsible for providing support to the financial controllers and trading desks, ensuring that the balance sheet, cost capital and month close procedures are done correctly and accurately. You will have the opportunity to work on strategic plans, projects & initiatives, and support the financial statements and management reporting team overall demands and requests. You will be involved in understanding appropriateness of legal entity usage, coordinate the preparation of quarterly regulatory requirements, validate balance sheet usage, contribute to control self-assessments and revenue sharing relationships.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with RWA reporting and month-end close processes
- Analyze balance sheet, (spot and Average) information
- Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the financials to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance management
- Partner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiatives
- Drive coordination across various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner
- Serve as an analytical and project support resource for product control
- Handle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Strong accounting background highly preferred (2+ years)
- Experience doing Balance Sheet, RWA and month end close process
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area
- Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities, and detail oriented
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Team player
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Eager to challenge current processes
