The Business Development Sr Manager Lab is responsible for leading the development of a strategic market plan and/or launch programs to create demand and maximize sales of Lab products and services in multiple channels. Provides leadership for activities such as Business Development, product/brand management, product launch, advertising, public relations, market research, pricing, forecasting, and/or product strategy implementation to achieve DIA objectives and business targets. The Business Development Sr Manager Lab is responsible for the end to end business success, from the strategy to the execution, guaranteeing the value creation to several customer archetypes and Roche, in alignment with Roche strategic priorities.
Main tasks of the position
- Lead, delegate, motivate and develop a high-performance Business Development team, ensuring that they achieve their individual and collective goals. Facilitate the integration of different areas of the company, as well as regional and global teams, with the aim of facilitating new business possibilities.
- Successfully lead the following team activities:
- Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Identification of market trends, customer needs and growth opportunities. Assessment of competition and adaptation of strategies to maintain the company's competitive advantage.
- Development and Execution of Strategies: Creation of strategic plans to expand the company's reach and increase revenue. Develop strategies for entering new markets or launching new products. Manage the life cycle of your product line, ensuring the deployment of strategies and implementation with the sales team. Anticipate opportunities and risks, internal and external, that could affect the company's business. Responsible for sales results and product line KPIs and OPEX control.
- Relationship and Partnership Management: Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential customers, understanding their needs and providing personalized solutions. Negotiate agreements and strategic partnerships that boost the company's growth. Customer relationship management, using the company's CRM
Qualifications of the position:
Bachelor's degree in Administration, Marketing, or health related fields. Post-graduation and/or MBA is an advantage;
Fluent English;
Spanish is desired;
Availability for travels;
Proven experience in Business Development, preferably in the healthcare sector;
Desired experience in commercial/market intelligence/access;
Customer centric mindset and proven experience in dealing with different customer archetypes and partners;
Strong ability in communication, negotiation, persuasion, demonstrated in a historic closed deals;
Creative thinker with a strategic mindset to guarantee robust business plans;
The ability to analyze and review marketing metrics and trends to identify opportunities and threats;
Strong ability in working and influencing different types of teams (internal and external stakeholders);
Proven people management skills with experience of mentoring, coaching, leading, developing and evaluating direct and indirect reports, peers and colleagues, to achieve target and defined goals;
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment efficiently.
