Category Lead - General Purchases Job

Job Dimension

Reports to Report to General Purchases Head, GASP.

Geographical Scope: South Asia, including Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and India.

Job Tasks / Activities

• Manages procurement activities of specific General Purchases categories (eg. HR Services, Marketing & Communications)
• Manages the Sourcing to Pay activities for General Purchases; qualification of vendors, RFQ management, negotiation, commercial validation, contract award, expediting, payment
• Drive category-driven initiative to optimize cost and increase automation
• Adheres to compliant procurement policies and processes
• Facilitate necessary training sessions on GASP core process within GASP and with relevant departments
• Execution of PR to Pay process in ERP for the region; Coordination with Shared Service Centre, vendors etc., promoto auto-payment process.
• Monthly KPI reporting for the region
• Ad-hoc admininstrative tasks for the centralized GASP team

Required Profile

• Ability to work in a multi-national environment and a global team
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills, open mind, team player ,willing to offer help
• Good English both in oral and written

Qualification required

• 2 – 5 years’ experience in procurement function
• Experience in SAP setting project preferred

Experience required

• Independently manages RFQ for the Region
• Spearheading Saving Initiatives for the Region
• Delivery on Savings Target
