Please find details below: •Role : Cloud Database Engineer / Azure •Start: ASAP •Duration : 12 months + extension •Location: Remote •Capacity : 5 days a week •Language: English As a Cloud Database Engineer within the Cloud Operations Team, you will be part of a team responsible for supporting and operating our databases in a multi-tenant application and for our many commerce customers. Leveraging best of breed technologies, you will have a direct impact on the company’s ability to succeed. Your Responsibilities: • Provide onboarding support and operational guidance for PostgreSQL databases (AWS & Azure) to our internal database teams • Help in finding ways to optimize and improve performance of databases • Provide reporting on various metrics: availability, usage, and performance • Support performance testing and application benchmarking activities • Continuous improvement and documentation of existing processes and standards Your Qualifications: • Minimum 7 years of professional experience as a DataBase Engineer/administrator • Solid understanding and experience with PostgreSQL (AWS, Azure). Certifications are a definite asset • Good knowledge of Azure SQL • Good knowledge of scripting languages/automation Your Experience: • Strong experience working in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS and GCP • Strong experience in providing or supporting PostgreSQL database services in public cloud or private cloud • Experience in implementation of best practices and performance tuning • Experience working in a high availability environment (24X7) If you are interested, please apply for immediate consideration.
