Within the business Electrification, the service department Distribution Solutions (ELDS) is responsible for the technical and commercial handling of preventive and corrective maintenance, retrofits and upgrades, inspections and testing, as well as the construction and replacement of existing low and medium voltage installations. Service contracts will take up an increasingly important part of the activities.As a Service Technician you have frequent contact with the service coordinator, the work planner, your service technicians colleagues, and the entire Electrification business.

Your responsibilities
- Performing service tasks like installation and commissioning of equipment, identifying technical problems, making analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories (installation and commissioning, routine maintenance, extensions, replacements etc.)
- Troubleshooting equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
- Implementing technical modifications to existing installations
- Execute testing activities in order to establish the proper functioning of installations
- Assisting in drawing up protocols for the commissioning of new installations and for the maintenance and testing of existing installations
- Passing on requests for changes to the work ordered by the customer to the service coordinator
- Reporting work done in a timely manner and following up when needed
- Participating in stand-by services in which independent interventions must also be provided to customers outside working hours (after an appropriate training period)
- Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service
Your background
- Electrical engineer with an affinity for mechanical engineering
- Good knowledge and practical experience of plant servicing, maintenance, commissioning and repair.
- A collaborative and solution-oriented approach, as well as strong written and oral communication skills in Dutch, French and English
- A focus on safe working practices and a commitment to workplace safety guidelines
- BA in electrical engineering or electromechanics or relevant experience
- Valid driving license
