What you'll do:
As a Product Development Engineer SR - Project Lead, you will be responsible for the organization, planning and executions of electrical controls system projects from marketing concept to production for the Food Preparation product line, translating consumer needs into technical specifications. In detail, you will:
- Design electronic hardware for electronic controls and control systems;
- Apply expert knowledge of applicable technology and industry/company standards to investigate new technologies, methods and test procedures;
- Develop product technical specifications based off of a variety of requirement inputs including consumer, marketing and industrial design;
- Develop prototypes and implements new product designs including analog and digital hardware and or firmware;
- Prepare test and validation plans, leading execution and direction of product testing;
- Work with outside consultants, suppliers and contract manufacturers to develop and manufacture electronic components and assemblies.
- Performs special projects as directed by the Department Manager.
Aspart of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in LeanThinking projects and activities (EMS/C2W).
Who you are:
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related Engineering fields;
- Strong experience in conceiving and developing embedded hardware controls and control systems preferably in a consumer appliance product R&D environment;
- Experience with project management (preferably using Waterfall methodology);
- Design/programming experience using assembly language and C/C++ firmware are a plus;
- Proficiency in mechanical 2D and 3D design and layout using Catia, AutoCAD or similar;
- Proficiency in schematic and circuit design and layout using ORCAD or similar CAD system are a strong plus;
- Advanced English.
