Salary: $85,000- $100,000 Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of the Regional Director of Business Travel Sales position is to provide negotiated Business Travel strategic oversight, guidance, leadership, and execution for specifically assigned hotels and the remainder of their assigned region. This Regional Director will support the area BTSMs and hotel based BTSMs in their assigned regions as well. Work Performed: The Position will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
- Assist each assigned hotel in the development and execution of Negotiated Transient revenue generation strategies to maximize segment profitability;
- Respond to all RFPs, both local and national for specifically assigned hotels;
- Generate effective and compelling business cases to earn an opportunity to participate with a targeted account;
- Review Hummingbird and other related tools along with the Negotiated segment productivity, by account, for each assigned hotel, identifying new accounts and the need for strategic redirection, and/or reinforcement with the property leadership team to develop plans to maximize segment revenues;
- Understand the hotel, negotiated account profile, and market dynamics of the assigned properties;
- Demonstrate an expert level understanding of national hotel brands' business negotiated account sales tools and resources. Keep current and ensure the assigned hotels take advantage of all brand resources and initiatives;
- Support the local Business Travel (BT) sales effort by assisting the hotel to identify targeted accounts and grow revenues from existing accounts;
- Consult with the Regional Director of Revenue Management regarding the strategic direction of the Negotiated account revenues;
- Provide onboarding and ongoing training and support to all area BTSMs and hotel based BTSMs in their assigned region;
- Conduct regularly scheduled regional team calls for all A/BTSMs in their assigned region to share best practices and conduct Business Travel Sales training; and
- Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
- 5+ years of Business Transient hotel sales
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or commensurate experience in a related business field required
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Proficient in Internet research navigation
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and market data for hotels
- Excellent skills in identifying and developing accounts that fit the hotel's needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across all disciplines and levels of the organization
- Strategic thinker, an account developer and can negotiate, convince, and influence.
