Under general direction, the Sales & Business Development (Territory Manager) professional is responsible for identifying, quoting and closing sales in the Biomass sector of Brazil as well as taking care of customer relationships, increasing sales, and driving strategic growth initiatives.

Key avenues for success include selecting the correct equipment for the application; visiting existing customers and working with Aftermarket Sales to insure proper and significant growth in Biomass; effectively connecting throughout all levels of the customer organization - including senior level management, collecting customer and market insights, identifying and uncovering needs, positioning winning solutions, building deep customer relationships, and closing the deal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prospecting and establishing new sales leads and contacts.
  • Face to face interactions with customers and the identified markets we serve.
  • Applications and quotes to customers for new equipment. This will range from complete projects to individual components.
  • Developing multiple relationships & communication pathways within a customer organization including Engineering, Plant Management, General Management, Finance, and Procurement Sourcing.
  • Maintaining relationships with existing customers along with working with aftermarket Sales and introducing programs along with aftermarket personnel.
  • Presentations to customers and engineering firms which could be long or abbreviated.
  • Maintaining CRM, working with manager to predict yearly and monthly sales forecast.
  • Track competitor sales, equipment and improvements.
  • Communicate with other employees and sectors within CPM. This also includes companies in Europe and Asia.
  • Support conference/tradeshows strategies including assessments, booth support, and presentations.
  • Maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments.
  • Efficient & timely responses on general inquiries, opportunities, and formal RFP’s.
  • As needed, resolving customer issues with products, projects, and service.
  • All other as assigned by manager.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Biomass industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Chemistry, Chemical or Mechanical engineering.
  • Prior experience, ~5 years, in either Commercial, Sales, Operations, or Process related industries.
  • Demonstrated sales experiences.
  • Experience building, shaping, and executing on a product line strategy.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and approach
  • High integrity and ethics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Effective at problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Outcome focused with the ability to manage competing priorities and work well under pressure.
  • Customer advocate & customer service focus.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to travel either internationally or domestically approximately 50% of the time.
  • Proficiency in English is required; Spanish is preferred.
