MacGregor is looking for a Sales Engineer, Service who will be part of the Service department in the Fishery and Research Division (FAR).
In this role you will be responsible for sales activities towards Spare Parts and Service customers worldwide. The position will require interaction with internal and external customers globally as well as the MacGregor service, project and logistic teams.
The role has an important function for development and improvement of sales activities for FAR products and services. The role shall actively provide excellent customer service and seek to build long term relationships with customers.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Day to day operations
- Sales of parts and services
- Regular contact with customers to understand their needs for parts and services (inspection, repair/overhaul, maintenance)
- Keep SAP ERP and Salesforce CRM systems up to date
- Coordination of sales activities and marketing initiatives
- Close cooperation with Warehouse and Purchasing functions to ensure parts are sourced and delivered to customers on time whilst maintaining correct stock and keeping control of cost
- Follow up that parts, service hours and other costs are booked correctly to the orders in SAP so billing can be done correctly. Follow up that sales orders and service activities are delivered on time
- Assistance as required on FAR equipment on site, including but not limited to; troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs
- Negotiation and follow-up of agent and service agreements
- Technical support to customers
- Other
- Support the onsite teams with documentation, knowledge and support if needed
- Close cooperation with Warehouse and Purchasing functions in defining minimum and maximum stock levels for goods. Planning of sales initiatives to reduce excess stock where applicable
What you’ll need to succeed
- Education and experience:
- Preferably bachelor's degree or equivalent technical education.
- Extensive experience with service activities or similar work experience may compensate for formal education.
- Proven sales skills.
- Good general IT skills and SAP ERP skills are important to succeed in the role.
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems is considered advantageous.
- Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English
