Job Overview : The Sector Data Analyst is focused on acquiring, cleaning, and analyzing large, unstructured data sets. Combining a rigorous scientific approach and research methodology, the main goal is to generate fundamental investment insights and discover new sources of alpha. Responsibilities Include : Partner with our investment research team to understand their investment approach, and how data can support their research processes. Support investment teams in understanding companies and sectors KPIs and implementing statistical models to forecast them. Analyze data from multiple sources to test complex investment thesis and hypothesis Provide investment teams with research of exceptional quality, presented in a clear and concise manner. Utilize both current and emerging datasets to uncover impactful insights and create data visualizations that serve as tools for informed decision-making. Required Attributes : Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in investment. Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and oral, as required for interaction with investment team. Ability to consume sell side reports, understand fundamental investment theses & identify crucial data sets. Proven experience and fluency with data analysis techniques in Python , SQL and data visualization tools, preferably PowerBI . Bonus Attributes : Experience with large datasets. Working experience with Linux. DevOps, and Agile methodologies. Education : Bachelor’s degree in statistics, engineering, economics, business, computer science, or physics with at least 3 years of experience.
