Abbott Medical GmbH in Eschborn is looking for a

(Senior) Financial Analyst (m/f/d) - Region Central

This position provides day to day and strategic financial support to the Region Central Commercial team via financial analysis as well as business decision support.

Furthermore, this position will report to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager Electrophysiology Central and have significant interaction with the Electrophysiology (EP) Central Management team, the country commercial teams, CFS, the HUB, the EMEA Area HQ and all other EP functions that support the business on a continuous basis (Marketing, CS, IT, Commercial, etc.).

Your Responsibilities:

• Support country teams as business partner, including technical issues with applicable IT systems / templates as well as regarding training on new systems or processes, while promoting a financially driven mindset across the organization
• Contribute to the Electrophysiology Central LBE and outlook processes by independently taking ownership for assigned sub-areas. This includes discussion with the respective managers, challenging them on their assumptions, consolidating on a country and Central level, commenting on the final numbers, and driving excellence in both processes and used tools.
• Manage non-routine postings in the month end process including rebate/commission/marketing accruals as well as x-charges to other BUs. Furthermore, identify process deviation and follow-up on timely correction. This leads to compliance to GAAP as well as Abbott guidelines & policies and enables us to pass both internal and external audits.
• Drive the Electrophysiology Central cost center forecasting process including bottom-up files, meeting with each budget owner on a regular basis to review actuals against relevant benchmarks and create related SG&A expense forecasts for the relevant forecast period. 
• Prepare sales, (O)COGS, margin, product and OPEX analysis both as part of a KPI based standardized reporting as well as ad-hoc to assist Electrophysiology Central Management, including country managers and regional sales managers, in their decision making
• Work to improve current operations through process improvements and value-added analytics both daily as well as by contributing to & leading (cross-BU) project teams.
• Lead various cross-Division projects / team projects and perform ad-hoc analyses at management request / as needed

Your Profile:

• University degree, preferably in a Business or Finance/Accounting related discipline; MBA/CPA/CFA preferred
• A minimum of 3 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in international environment
• Attention to detail (in data consolidation, reporting, analytics, analyzing trends)
• Must have excellent system skills, aptitude and experience, especially with Excel, knowledge of SAP, PowerPoint, previous experience with financial forecasting & reporting systems a plus
• Prior experience in a fast-paced environment / global organization experience
• Very strong analytical skills
• Fluent in English and German
