The Team Leader will report to the Manager, Steam Turbine Design.
In this role, the TL will be responsible for a small team taking care of:
- Definition of materials, design documents, Bills of Material, repair proposals, factory and site assembly procedures for components including for costing
- Support for manufacturing (e.g. non-conformances), factory and site assembly
- Support for commissioning activities
- Support for operational issues in the fleet
- Technical coordination for project execution
- Supervises the above work, including approval
- Planning and prioritization
- Sets the annual performance objectives for the team and carries out regular reviews of the team performance
- Monitors Key Performance Indicators for the team
- Determines any required training
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field of study from an accredited college or university
- Min 8 years demonstrated successful experience in Compressor Design
- Ability to communicate effectively (written/spoken) in English and/or French
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and with external customers/suppliers
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Able to travel regionally or globally as needed
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience in Steam Turbine Design
- Expertise in CATIA V5 CAD system
