What you will do
This position is part LATAM Business Unit reporting to the Latam Marketing Associate Manager.
The role will strongly collaborate with local Sales Support functions, Sales Managers, Distributors and International Marketing and other Therapy Development Specialists.
The objective for this role is support Stryker Neurovascular in increasing our market share for hemorrhagic franchise introducing the new products and starting projects for the new Ischemic franchise in the country, aiming training, education and accounts development. Part of the role includes technical promotion for our accessories franchise ensuring participation in all accounts.
In this role the Therapy Development Specialist will provide technical, procedural, and clinical support to customers and to the sales organization by conducting in services, organizing animal labs, workshops, trainings, proctorships, participating at congresses and other Stryker events to ensure a successful execution of the commercial plan.
Additionally, the Therapy Development Specialist will work on market assessment overseeing accounts monitoring, compliance follow up for marketing/events processes, customer relationship including provide distributor and physicians feedback, markets dynamics and reporting inputs from the sales force and distributor network.
The Therapy Development Specialist will contribute on events/marketing strategies based on customer needs. In addition, as being a field person, the Therapy Development Specialist will be asked to contribute with ideas/actions to enhance endovascular therapy in the country as part of their role.
Occasional support to Global Marketing/Training and Clinical Teams may be required from time to time.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Product / Technical Sales Support:
- Act as a technical expert for Neurotechnology in the Northeast region of Brazil.
- Supports field execution of sales and marketing programs through active presence in the field, working with the sales/distributor organization.
- Assists, train the sales force and technicians whenever it is necessary.
Customer Interactions and Monitoring
- In collaboration with Marketing Manager and local Sales Support functions, the Therapy Development Specialist monitors the execution of physician product training (FDS & AIS) as per marketing/strategic plan.
- Act as a technical & clinical expert for Neurotechnology in the Northeast region of Brazil and is recognized by Key Accounts and partners for his knowledge and expertise.
- From Therapy Development Specialist is expected to interact properly with radiologists/neuroradiologist/neurosurgeons to ensure proper and safe product usage and monitor their level of satisfaction, their clinical results and their preferences.
Therapy Development Specialist interacts with referring physicians to support a better understanding and acceptance of FDS and SAC technology. Understand the AIS market and ways to develop the market in partnership with physician’s thoughts and actions.
- Therapy Development Specialist listens to the physicians and helps the company to building targeted or global plans: product development, training programs, clinical initiatives.
Market Intelligence
The Therapy Development Specialist helps the organization to monitor physicians’ satisfaction and document product feedback.
- Therapy Development Specialist substantially contributes to market intelligence (account activity, competition initiatives and prioritization of commercial strategies).
- Therapy Development Specialist keeps track and orientate the marketing activities developed locally by each distributor making sure that there is alignment of strategies between Stryker and local partners.
Clinical Activity
- Therapy Development Specialist will search for opportunities to create clinical initiatives in the country, acting as a partner to both physicians and Stryker Neurovascular.
- Therapy Development Specialist will provide field information on competitive clinical initiatives, results and protocols.
Quality:
Ensures awareness and compliance with Stryker Quality objectives such as complaint report handling, compliance regulations, compliance paperwork thereby demonstrating high commitment to Quality in all interactions and behaviors.
- Fulfill all Stryker training requirements.
What you need
Bachelor’s degree required.
Technical English skills required.
Professional must live in the Northeast of Brazil (any state of it) and have previous experience working with Healthcare Professionals of the region.
Position is Field-based, meaning, the employee will travel across the Northeast region of Brazil as needed (around 80% of working hours).
