Dow has an opportunity as an Accounting Specialist based in São Paulo (BRA). The Associate Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, preparing and managing monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, and owning the accounting for treasury accounting, fixed assets, and payroll activities. 

Responsibilities :

• Helps facilitate the accounting process in monthly/quarterly closing

• Accurately prepare and book monthly journal entries, including prepaid, accruals, and investments;

• Diligently prepare various account reconciliations, obtain the necessary detailed transactions for the account, and investigate and correct reconciling items;

• Forex analysis and account reconciliations;

• Manage the accounting for treasury accounting, fixed assets, and payroll activities, including but not limited to creating and updating reports

• Prepare the annual schedules;

• Prepare bank account entries that are accurate and up to date;

• Review the P&L miscellaneous accounts to ensure the accuracy of reporting;

• Challenge the status quo, participate and support new projects that add value to the organization;

• Perform other accounting duties subject to the role;

• Prepare reconciliations;

• Attend internal and external audit requests;

• Manual Journal entries;

• Prepare and submit external reports;

• Good Interaction with Entity Accounting Leaders;

• In charge of F&S Accounting process, e.g. Fixed Asset, HR accounting, and Treasury Accounting;

Qualifications:

• Bachelor´s Degree in Accounting;

• Intermediate English Level;

Preferred Skills

• Intermediate Spanish level – not mandatory but will be considered a plus;

• Strong interpersonal relationships, teamwork, collaboration and hands-on;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

• Strong organization and problem-solving skills;
