From simple self check-in to boutique bathroom amenities, we bring the best of a hotel without any of the formality.As a member of the Brand & eCommerce team, the Email Marketing Associate/Coordinator will play an integral role in driving customer acquisition and retention through targeted Email Marketing from conception to execution. The ideal candidate will develop a strong understanding of our customer base, the ability to analyze customer data and behavior and showcase experiences in driving business results through Email Marketing.AT SONDER YOU WILL:Own the deployment, optimization and performance reporting of Email Marketing activities:Schedule, test and deploy email campaigns (batched and triggered) using the Iterable (ESP) platformAudit and optimize existing lifecycle marketing workflowsIdentify and manage customer segmentation opportunitiesMeasure, analyze and report on performance metrics on a regular cadenceManage relationships and deliveries of third party vendors and internal teams involved in Email Marketing deliverables (Design and Content team, , freelance HTML programming developers involved in email templates creation)Identify new email opportunities through research and competitor analysisManage the ad hoc email requests from internal teamsEnsure user data is accurately collected and stored for segmentation purpose, working closely with Product team and Engineering:Conduct thorough customer data audits to spot and troubleshoot discrepancies or anomalies in the data, ensuring data integrity and usabilityConduct email sign-up flows audits to identify opportunities for improvementAccelerate Sonder’s Email Marketing growth leveraging your Email Marketing experience and user segmentation research to increase Sonder’s marketable database and conversion:WHAT WE LOOK FOR:Previous proven experience in lifecycle marketing at a hyper growth technology company or hospitality playerExperience with Email Marketing automation tools (e.g. Iterable ideally or similar tools, etc)HTML coding experience preferred, particularly for email or eager to learnExcellent writing and communication skillsHighly analytical mindset and capable of making data driven decisionsAn experimental mindset with a knack for rapid A/B or time-series testingBS/BA degree in Marketing, Journalism or relevant fieldExpertly balance and prioritize your daily to-do's, as well as your short-term and long-term planning.A self-starter with a proactive mindset and ability to work well both independently and in a team settingA challenge loving problem solver with a playful positive attitudeFluent in English, another language is a plus.Preferred:Previous experience in hospitalityExperience navigating CRM infrastructure - SQL experience preferred or eager to learnExperience managing freelancers or marketing agenciesExperience working across cultures and time zones in a remote environment.Please note as this role is classified and staffed as a Contractor/Employee of Record via Deel.
