WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Learning and Development Senior Manager will have a key role in managing, growing and leading part of the EMESA Learning and Development Operations team. The role encompasses the management of our Learning Journeys and upskilling operations. The training events are essential for consulting staff in building core capabilities, helping them to develop their regional network and providing them affiliation and networking opportunities. Additionally, there will be opportunity to drive forward relevant functional projects to implement operational and strategic priorities.
You will:
- Lead, manage & grow a group of operations leads and coordinators across the EMESA L&D Operations team, driving a culture of continuous learning & development
- Develop and implement EMESA L&D Operations strategies aligned with our business goals and objectives
- Be the glue to all things connected to operations across our EMESA team (faculty, communications, budgeting Learning Management System, reporting, feedback, operational efficiency, best practice in etc), essentially overseeing the creation, implementation and continuous improvement of our L&D Operations
- Ensure consistency in L&D efforts across different regions while accommodating local/regional needs
- Lead discussions with our broader L&D stakeholders on global policies, alignment opportunities, effective working methods and practices across teams
- Determine best practice processes to align across learning journey elements and opportunities to expand as we roll out more upskilling efforts
- Act as a sparring partner to the Operations team when it comes to delivering high quality learner experiences.
- Be a thought partner, contributor and driver of change alongside the L&D Operations Director and L&D Operations Senior Manager
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to bring best practice and to create memorable events for our learners
- Lead projects and change initiatives within the L&D function, adapting to the evolving business needs
- Engage and continue to review innovation and technology options to support current and future needs
- Promote and integrate DE&I principles and BCG Values into all aspects of our L&D operations strategy

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
We are looking for this person to have:
- A passion and interest in Learning & Development
- A degree in any discipline, although vocational training in Event Management/Hotel/Tourism or bachelor’s degree is an advantage
- 3-5 years’ work experience in an operations role within professional services is preferred
- Good understanding of BCG business and learners’ needs and how to translate that into L&D actions
- Skilled and trained on a variety of technical tools used for virtual events (virtual-live or online courses/meetings; as video conferencing, collaborative, and communication tools, e.g., Zoom, Slack, Trello, Outlook, Sales Force Marketing Cloud, Survey tools, etc.)
- Organisational skills, and the ability to think big whilst considering all the detail, often at the same time
- Prior experience in organizing virtual/online meetings would be relevant
- Fluency in the English language (oral and written)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word)

As a complex matrix structured organisation, you will also work with L&D teams in our local systems across our regions as well as with counterparts and colleagues in our Global L&D teams. You will establish strong relationships across our people functions and beyond to successfully learn, educate and influence others.
