What do we expect from you?
The Strategy and Growth Leader is responsible for providing strategic direction consultation across the segments and for working on various projects throughout the year to help accelerating the LATAM business growth and quality. This role will be focused on helping our commercial teams with strategic marketing decisions, for leading specific projects and seeing it through to completion for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead strategic growth initiatives across the CUs

a. Lead cross functional initiatives to support new trait acceleration and deregulation in collaboration with the global team.
b. Support one seed and other cost improvement projects across CUs.
c. Lead new frontier strategy development (e.g. biofuels, specialty oil and protein) for the region in partnership with the global team.
d. Plan, implement, and manage specific projects from start through completion with various CUs and global stakeholders.
e. Monitoring and reporting on projects and planning

2. Support the development and execution of the Seed Business Unit strategy across the LATAM region in collaboration with CUs leadership team including:

a. Coordinate the Multi Year plan process in support of the CUs Marketing, BU segments and regional leaders.
b. Review AIM (Advanced Integrated Marketing) plans with CU marketing and Regional Commercialization leaders reviews across key segments and countries as needed to look for strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
c. Work closely with Global Business Unit portfolio leadership to align on asset footprint, resources on medium (5 year plan) to long term (15 year plan) planning
d. Work closely with Commercial Units/country teams to address local needs, maximize opportunities, and leverage good practices. Facilitate sessions for teams that need help with their strategic focus for the region
e. Develop clear understanding /interpretation of product performance, marketplace trends and competitive dynamics. Help identify the potential areas of risk, opportunities, and consult on if the current path takes this into effect.
f. Foster an environment of strategic thinking with our regional talent through development programs and regular CU/country interactions.


3. Assist the LATAM commercial units to create and realize their vision. Assist in communicating this vision to the broader organization both up and down.

4. Stay current with day-to-day events while looking at future trends and helping the business see what could be happening in the future to steer our business in the right direction. Proactively catch trends in the market in partnership market intelligence group and communicate to the organization.

Qualifications


To Grow What Matters, You Will Need
• University Degree with a post-graduate qualification
• 10 to 15 years with proven track record of commercial success within the agricultural industry
• Seed business acumen - understanding of commercial, agronomy, production and distribution
• Experience in portfolio management, marketing mix strategy development and execution
• Demonstrated influence with authority skills and coaching others to success
• Proven cross-functional collaboration skills in leading and meeting goals:
• Experience in working independently across large numbers of cross stakeholders
