Job Description Summary
The Product Marketing, Travel Office IT role is a position which sits at the intersection of product, sales, marketing and customer success. Providing the interface to the commercial team as well as other business partners with product expertise and responsible for the strategic direction of those solutions across the markets in APAC. For this role we are looking for someone to be responsible for India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bhutan. To support problem discovery and define user needs by conducting and collecting inputs from market research, user research, and customer support to deliver an efficient input to the product development process. The role will collect, prioritize, and communicate competitive analysis, price sensitivity, gap prioritization, use cases, value proposition, and key market messages. The role will communicate sales and revenue goals for the commercial teams in the region and will monitor performance and support the sales strategy and activities to achieve the goal.
Job Description
Develop Product Strategy
- Accountable for delivering the IT revenues for India & Subcontinent for Travel Office IT solutions
- Define and own the overall business/Product Marketing strategy including key positioning with content, messages, tools and channels
- Understand market dynamics including industry trends, traveler trends and competitive landscape
- Develop and maintain the regional business case for each product
- Manage products profitability aligning resources dedicated to product through the products lifecycle.
- Design and ensure implementation of the pricing strategy to maximize revenue.
- Translate the strategy into Marketing Plan including marketing and communications actions.
Customer Discovery
- Liaise with all customers such as Online, Global through to Long Tail across India & Subcontinent as well as all 3rd parties who also offer solutions in the market.
- Analyze customer needs according to their profiles, market specificities.
- Propose the right value proposition to address needs. Identify gaps of the current solution portfolio.
- Identify and communicate impact of changes in product roadmap as relates to value proposition and messaging
Build and maintain roadmap and product backlog
Work with customers to identify and evaluate innovation opportunities in a collaborative model
Provide updates to regional stakeholders on:
* Product requirements definitions
* Feasibility assessments
* Backlog refinement
Iterative Development
- Generate feedback on specific iterations as guidance to the product managers
- Identify opportunities for the development of new or enhancement of existing products through analysis of market, competitor and customer information and knowledge of Amadeus' potential offering that will meet customer needs
Measure & Scale
- Create and maintain external product features and use-case descriptions
- Create and maintain market-facing messaging consistent with value prop
- Conduct feature localization based on market needs including mandates and content/language
- Provide input to:
* Sales for pipeline development and sales enablement
* Marketing for creation of campaigns and collateral
* Customer Support and Customer Success for readiness of new product or feature launches
- Coordinate elements for product launch: Information materials, training, support, marketing communication materials, positioning, pricing and sales roll out
- Ensure all of this category is coherent in each market
The Ideal Candidate will:
