In that context and for Germany, Grid Solutions participates in projects deploying new HVDC converter stations to bring Offshore Wind energy into Germany.
Grid Solutions is looking for a Project Engineering Director (m/f/d) who will oversee the technical coordination and management of technical topics of the entire scope of such HVDC projects.
Elaborate the engineering execution strategy with the PEM’s
Responsible in front of the customer of the engineering execution of the project. The person is the preferred contact of the customer management for all topics related to the engineering
Accountable for the On-Time Delivery of the engineering
Responsible for the Project Engineering budget, he/she manages monthly follow-up of the budget, identify potential savings and deviations through the modifications sheet
Define and validate the design quality plan for the whole engineering scope
Organize with integration & interface Manager and document controller leader the technical document management for the project: tool set-up, delivery process, Master drawing list, Questions / Responses follow up
Organize Return of Experience with Customer, Main Suppliers and internally for GRID
Ensure deployment of Engineering tools (CAD, PDM/DMS,) is done as per strategy
Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions and Processes in EMH
Demonstrate EHS leadership and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team
10+ years of Engineering activities in EPC type environment in T&D, Power Gen or Oil & Gas industry
Mastering of some engineering processes such as: Civil work, Plant configuration, control & protection hardware, System & performance studies or Electrical design
Successful experience in project technical management on large scale project with complex organizations
Strong influencing and relationship building skills
Knowledge of project execution risks and financial processes
Willingness to work in different locations for short or medium period and to travel in worldwide.
Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to succinctly communicate complex messages
Demonstrated ability to lead in an unstructured environment and deliver results
Demonstrates ownership & accountability, judgment and decision making, influences & inspires team, creates a vision and strategy, and has passion for the role
Global experience and mindset including high technical cultural competence and sensitivity
Working in an international team within Grid Systems Integration based in Berlin or Dresden
