Practice Area Profile
What You'll Do
You will be a part of the Financial Institutions Data Tribe, focusing on data analysis and financial modelling, to support our profitability products for retail and business banking segments across the world. Our profitability improvement product teams comprise world leading experts with strong industry knowledge. As a Senior Analyst, you will have continuous exposure to clients, partners, and senior managers within BCG. You will be working under supervision in further development and enhancement efforts of the existing consulting offerings, as well as the generation of new content. Additional tasks involve manipulating and working with large data sets, and the ability to work with different big data and analytical tools.

* Use of other software/platforms such as Alteryx/MS Access, Python, Dataiku, Tableau, BI tools, VBA, etc. will be a strong advantage.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data/information from clients to provide business intelligence and relevant tactical strategies to improve profitability.
* Strong data analysis to build and generate robust business cases that help Financial Institutions make implementation decisions.
* Assess market/industry trends as well as the competitive performance of firms operating in a particular market.
* Address client questions/queries using the data and content expertise.
* Preparing and delivering customized reports (through a digital platform and PowerPoint) to clients.
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
* University degree with demonstrated high academic achievement, preferably in Business administration (with a focus on finance), quantitative sciences (e.g., mathematics, statistics, physics), economics, computer science, engineering or other data/analytical-centric disciplines.
* 4-6 years of experience in data analysis and business modelling is required.
* Proven research and database management and analysis capabilities.
* Industry knowledge is a strong advantage.
* Peers across Financial Institutions' data assets to execute and deliver the findings.
* Senior counterparts for direction, best practices, and overall guidance.
* BCG consulting teams, Partners, and clients to discuss insights & support project delivery.
