We are currently seeking a BMS Integration Engineerto join our HBS NSW team in our North Ryde office. Reporting to the Engineering Program Manager, you will be responsible for the technical success and delivery of large-scale, complex BMS/Integration projects in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of BMS / HVAC principles for Control System Design, Documentation and Implementation.
- Provide technical knowledge on integration requirements with focus on integrating systems via open building protocols into Honeywell software platforms.
- Work with the relevant project stakeholders, including the client and the builder to workshop designs and solutions to enable development of interface matrixes.
- Develop software, set up and test to prove successful integration between systems, while ensuring all site specified requirements for the integration are met.
- Develop site specific documentation including configuration, engineering, O&M testing and commissioning manuals and procedures.
- Have a good understanding of the industry standard communication protocols and how they work.
- Ensure that skills are maintained and enhanced in specialist areas relating to product knowledge, services knowledge, or industry knowledge.
- Assessment of customer site for installation and design requirements for incorporation into the project design documents as well as co-ordinating these requirements with the installation subcontractor.
- Prepare design submittals and documentation as per stakeholder requirements, ensuring commitment dates are met.
- Liaise with and manage independent commissioning agents and support the commissioning process including witness testing and final handover with consultants/clients.
- Identification and early escalation to Project Manager of risks at the right time to minimise negative deviation or customer dissatisfaction.
- Assist with designing the standard architecture for consistent project delivery.
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- 5+ years proven track record in a project engineering capacity involved in the delivery of large scale, complex BMS/Integration/technology-based projects
- Excellent understanding of industry standard open building & communication protocols
- Experience with Integrated Services platform (ISP) / Open Integrated Platforms (OIP)
- Has worked as part of a project environment as part of a project team, with the ability to develop and influence team members
- Ability to understand customer requirements and strong customer relation skills with the total commitment to customer satisfaction
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to architect innovative and creative solutions in a complex multiple systems-environment.
- Capacity to deliver against multiple objectives
- Previous exposure to a site-based, construction environment
